Little has changed since the Morgan County Bass Club was formed in 1981. The founding members of the club set out to develop their favorite past time into an local fishing club that provided anglers in the North Alabama region with a competitive tournament format. Based on the principles of friendly competition, resource conservation, and community involvement the Morgan County Bass Club is home to some of finest bass fisheries on the planet and some finest anglers you'll find.

For more than 30 years the members of the Morgan County Bass Club have been doing just that. We're blessed to live within casting distance of some of the finest bass fishing waters in the country. Wheeler, Wilson, Pickwick, Guntersville and Smith Lake are some of our most common waters we hold our monthly tournaments on. The MCBC is a member of the Alabama Bass Federation and its association with the TBF and FLW Outdoors. Allied with FLW Outdoors since 2006, TBF is the oldest and largest organized grass-roots angling organization in America, conducting more than 20,000 fishing, youth and conservation events at the local level each year through state federations and member clubs. As a member of the Alabama Bass Federation club members eligible to fish in state federation tournaments that provides a potential pathway to complete in the FLW Championship.

When do you hold tournaments?
We hold our monthly tournaments on the first Saturday following the first Thursday (tournament meeting) of each month. A choice of what lake and time is selected by committee and then a majority membership vote decides the final location and time of the upcoming tournament. Where do you hold your tournament meetings?
Currently we meet at Libby's Catfish Restaurant in Priceville (Decatur) at 7pm on the first Thursday of every month. Located just up the road from Interstate 65 it's a great central location for those traveling from Huntsville or other surrounding communities. 

How do you become a member?
Just come fishing with us! We'll pair you with a random club member for your first tournament and then cast a vote to approve your membership the during the next meeting.

How much does it cost to be a member?
• Annual membership fees are $75 - ($50 club fee + $25 TBF fee)
• Tournament fees - $35 (usually covered by non-boater)

How are you paired with your partner?
Boaters and non-boaters are paired by random drawing during the preceding tournament meeting. You are also allowed to bring up to three guests per year.
